O Embalo
Theater der Künste ZürichNovember 2024
When my mother was pregnant with me, my uncle, who was luthier, died in a car accident.
His work was left behind: Unfinished bodies, little pieces of wood that I wouldn't know where to put,
little fragments of dreams that never got played.
They hold stories that I have only heard but never fully lived,
images that appear without understanding that they miss being held.

O Embalo is a search for what lies within when one falls asleep;
for what forms and transforms out of what we live and the life it takes on its own.
It searches for the fleeting images that vanish before our eyes – for the loss of never fully touching them…
